Richard Egielski is an American artist who created cover and interior illustrations for The Letter, The Witch, and the Ring (1976). His interior illustrations have been used in subsequent paperback reissues of the book.

Egielski also illustrated The Tub People and The Tub Grandfather, both by Pam Conrad, and was the winner of the 1987 Caldecott Medal for his illustrations in Hey, Al.
