Peter Paul Rubens is the alleged painter of the Apotheosis of Saint Fidgeta (Saint Fidgeta and Other Parodies; 20).

Sir Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) was a prolific Flemish Baroque painter whose style emphasized movement, color, and sensuality, Rubens is well known for his altarpieces, portraits, landscapes, and history paintings of mythological and allegorical subjects.[1].

His fondness of painting full-figured women gave rise to the terms 'Rubensian' or 'Rubenesque' for plus-sized women. "This aspect of Rubens' work is more evident in Marilyn's drawing than in John's words.[2]"
