Pedasculus was a disciple of Orduri della Vacca and the one who developed the concept that since "time is infinitely divisible and sub-divisible, [then] there are as many sins as there are moments of time" (Saint Fidgeta and Other Parodies, 60-2).

Latin for "little pedant" - a name that describes the character. In The Taming of the Shrew, Hortensio used the word pedascule based on "pedasculus"[1].
