Orb is a publication in which Father Barbican speculates that prayers addressed to Saint Floradora after she was removed as an official saint were "probably picked up by some other saint" (Saint Fidgeta and Other Parodies, 84).

An orb is a circle or sphere, from Latin orbis[1]. In a religious context the term refers to either the globus cruciger (Latin "cross-bearing orb"), an orb surmounted by a cross and Christian symbol of authority since the Middle Ages, used on coins, in iconography, and with a scepter as royal regalia[2]; or to Urbi et Orbi ("to the City [of Rome] and to the World"), a term that denotes a papal address given to the city of Rome and to the entire world by the pope on certain solemn occasions[3].
