Isaac Comnenus was a Byzantine emperor who is thought to have destroyed the icon of Saint Fidgeta that existed in the Studium in Constantinople; had a half-brother named Dropsus (Saint Fidgeta and Other Parodies; 18).

Isaac I Komnenos (or Comnenus) (c. 1007 – 1060/61) was Byzantine Emperor from 1057 to 1059, the first reigning member of the Komnenos dynasty. After abdicating he became a monk in the Studium for the remainder of his life[1].
