Idolatry was a topic in the classes taught Saint Fidgeta's pagan grammar school (Saint Fidgeta and Other Parodies; 12).

Idolatry is the worship of an idol or a physical object, or practices believed to verge on worship, such as giving honor and regard to created forms[1]. One of the best known Biblical examples would be the Golden Calf. In all the Abrahamic religions idolatry is strongly forbidden - hence Fidgeta being uncomfortable with such sessions.
