Caravaggio was the alleged painter of Saint Fidgeta Chastised by Saint Jerome (Saint Fidgeta and Other Parodies; 20).

Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (1571–1610) was an Italian painter active in Rome, Naples, Malta, and Sicily from the 1590s until death.  His paintings combine a realistic observation of the human state, both physical and emotional, with a dramatic use of lighting[1].
